Alpha Architect is a veteran-owned firm with an impact mission to empower investors through education. When we aren't educating, we're supporting veterans. Our big annual event is the March for the Fallen (MFTF), where participants march a 28 mile trail in memory of fallen veterans. MFTF is a living memorial, and not a fundraiser or charity event.
This year, as part of our preparation for MFTF 2019, several of us (Ryan Kirlin, Pat Cleary, Amy Gray, and Wes Gray) are taking on an immense challenge inspired by our friend Tim Maguire...the Leadville 100 ultramarathon.
MFTF 2019 will continue to be a "fundraising-free" event, but if MFTF is not your thing and you feel compelled to help us support veterans, now is your chance...
As part of our Leadville 100 experience, we'll be raising charitable donations for the Challenged Athletes Foundation Operation Rebound® program, which supports veterans, military personnel and first responders with permanent physical injuries by providing them opportunities to participate in sports and fitness activities.
In short, we want to help injured service members, "Get after it!"
The Challenged Athletes Foundation® (CAF) is a world leader in helping individuals with physical challenges get involved – and stay involved – in sports and fitness. CAF believes that participation in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence, and enhances quality of life. Since 1994, more than $72 million has been raised and over 13,000 funding requests from challenged athletes in all 50 states and dozens of countries have been satisfied. Additionally, CAF’s outreach efforts impact another 60,000 individuals each year.
