Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) is conducting a FREE adaptive swim coaching clinic at the Presidio Community YMCA on Friday, January 26th from 2:00PM - 4:00PM. Instruction will include on-land lecture and in-water training on how to coach swimming to individuals with a permanent physical disability of all ages and experience levels.

Taught by expert adaptive swim coach, Alan Voisard, you will learn how to coach individuals with impaired mobility, balance, motor control and / or affected neuromuscular system. Instruction on disabilities include, but are not limited to, diagnoses such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, amputation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury.

Upon conclusion of the course, you will receive informational handouts, a certificate of completion, and a better understanding on how to make the pool a more inclusive environment.
