Friends:
Please join me in my efforts to support the Challenged Athletes Foundation as I once again participate in the Million Dollar Challenge (MDC) for the 15th consecutive time, on this the 17th anniversary of the event, the Legacy MDC. I am also honored to be Co-Chairing the MDC again for the 14th consecutive time.
The Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) raises money to help people with physical challenges pursue an active lifestyle through physical fitness and athletics. CAF’s mission is clear: give those with the desire to live active, competitive lifestyles every opportunity to compete in the sports they love and to get back into the game of life through sports. If you have a body, you are an athlete. Sport should not be a luxury limited to that which insurance will cover.
Since 1994 CAF has raised $154 million, distributed 44,000 grants in all 50 states and across 70 countries, across 104 different sports. Last year alone, through fundraising events like the MDC, we were able to distribute 3,996 grants valued at over $7million and held 55 clinics around the country in a variety of sports across all seasons.
The MDC is a 620+ mile bike journey from San Francisco to San Diego alongside some of our amazing challenged athletes and is designed to advance our mission by increasing awareness and raising funds for grants and programs to benefit the challenged athlete community.
By making a donation towards our fundraising you will provide individuals with physical challenges with the tools necessary to find success in sports — and in life!
Onward Together and Thank You!
